Phish, My Morning Jacket, Ween to Headline 2016 Lockn' Festival
Phish, My Morning Jacket and Ween will headline the fourth annual Lockn' Festival, scheduled for August 25th-28th in Arrington, Virginia. Phish will make their only festival appearance of 2016 with a two-night, four-set slot at the jam-centric camping event. Ween, fresh off a trio of sold-out reunion shows, will perform on two nights, including a set directly before Phish on Friday, the 26th.
"Phish has headlined their own festivals many times, but they have rarely played festivals with other bands performing," Lockn' co-founder Peter Shapiro tells Rolling Stone. "So this is going to be a big moment for their fans. To get to see Ween play before Phish is the kind of unique musical moment that we created Lockn' for."
Lockn' 2016, which takes place on Arrington's Oak Ridge farm, will also feature a two-night stint from Joe Russo's Almost Dead and individual sets from Charles Bradley, Gary Clark Jr. Umphrey's McGee, White Denim, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Brandi Carlile, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Keller's Grateful Gospel, Keller's Grateful Grass, Lettuce, Turkuaz, Twiddle and Vulfpeck. More artists will be announced soon.
General admission and VIP tickets – along with on-site camping, RV, hotel and shuttle packages – go on sale Friday, February 19th at noon EST via the fest's website. Lockn' will also feature locally sourced food, craft beer, biking and hiking tours, daily yoga and other activities.
The 2015 line-up featured Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters, Widespread Panic, the String Cheese Incident, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Gov't Mule and Phil Lesh & Friends (including Carlos Santana).
